A Nuclear Turbine Maintenance Technician is a competent, skilled mechanic in all aspects of nuclear plant mechanical maintenance. Work performed requires a broad knowledge of plant mechanical maintenance fundamentals and ability to function as part of a team while performing high quality preventive and corrective maintenance on nuclear plant equipment to maintain optimum levels of equipment reliability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 11⁄2 years of directly related experience
• Two-year technical school degree
• Prior experience in rigging and lifting
• ACAD Accredited Program Qualification to operate Cab Operated Polar or Gantry Cranes
• CNC machining skills
• Power tool operation and precision tool usage
• Advanced computer skills
• Safety processes administrative procedures and technical procedures
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Teamwork, flexibility, and personal responsibility
• Adaptability to changing processes, regulations, responsibilities, and work environments
