Mining Engineer In Training (EIT) - Estimating Department

The Mining Engineer In Training (EIT) - Estimating Department position is responsible for developing detailed capital cost estimates, conceptual estimates, and project methodologies for underground mining projects.

Requirements

• Attend site visits and collect required information for estimates
• Determine scope of work and define contractual requirements for underground mining projects
• Prepare cost estimates from first principles based on defined scope of work
• Interact with other departments and external suppliers to obtain material / equipment prices
• Prioritize & plan tender process to ensure bid is submitted correctly and on time
