Job Description
Join EAC Network as our Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to work full time for its Vocational Services program. Provide counseling, vocational assistance, and employment services to clients referred at drug/alcohol treatment programs in Nassau County with the outcome of economic self-sufficiency as the objective of the counseling process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in either counseling, psychology, sociology, or otherwise related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in the career counseling of clients with alcohol/substance abuse problems and/or clients from other disadvantaged populations
- Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments
- Ability to motivate self and work independently
- Must have access to car and possess a valid New York State Driver's License
