Senior Clinician Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Clinical Engagement role at Eastern Health to improve mental health and wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people, supporting the implementation of the Victorian Government Balit Murrup Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Framework 2017–2027.
Requirements
- Qualification and registration within the relevant professional discipline under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to provide a range of services at a high standard, including specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions, to people with a serious mental illness
- Demonstrated capacity, skills and expertise in working with clients with multiple and complex needs including alcohol and other drug and physical co morbidity
- Interest or experience in working with Aboriginal people experiencing mental health problems
- Desire to support Aboriginal people to engage with Aboriginal Controlled Organizations and mainstream health services
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
