Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join The Royal Melbourne Hospital as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Clinician. The role involves providing culturally safe and appropriate care for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people experiencing mental health and psychosocial challenges. The SEWB Team provides culturally appropriate and welcoming mental health support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers across RMH MHS.
Requirements
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
- Have experience with working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities
- Understand the Social and Emotional Wellbeing model, and holistic healthcare
- Hold a clinical qualification (and registrations/memberships as applicable) in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Psychiatric Nursing
- Have experience (or willingness to develop skills) in public mental health service delivery
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with consumers, carers, service delivery staff and service leaders
