Eaton's GEIS division is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and implement CNC programs and tooling layouts to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes. The role requires a strong understanding of CNC machines and programming software, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing engineering and production supervisors.
Requirements
- Develop and implement CNC programs and tooling layouts to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes
- Program and assist with set-ups as required of CNC machines
- Assist in the installation and implementation of new CNC equipment
- Identify and order new tooling needs
- Design new jigs, tools, fixtures, and provide technical direction to production personnel
- Supervise the validation of new program rollout and communicate the process effectively
- Implement projects and best practices to maximize CNC work center efficiency using Lean principles
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineering and production supervisors
- Investigate quality problems related to machines and provide technical directions to implement corrective actions and error proofing for future production
- Train CNC machine operators in new machining technologies as needed
- Review Engineering Change Notices and make timely changes to programming, tooling, fixturing, etc.
