Continuous Improvement Engineer

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives at the plant. As a CI engineer, you will lead and facilitate kaizen events that transform the way the plant operates.

Requirements

• Drive the continuous improvement roadmap at the facility through leading kaizen and business process improvement events.
• Create and improve standard work documentation for the production line as well as manufacturing documentation.
• Support the daily accountability tier process and support improving visual controls.
• Own the 5S+ program and improve the overall 5S+ program at the plant.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement cost reduction projects.
• Champion the continuous improvement ideas framework and own the tracking of the program.
• Lead the plant continuous improvement council.
• Leverage problem solving tools to identify root causes of issues and identify corrective actions to improve operations.
• Participate in the plant’s operations and CI assessments and support improving the plants results.
• Coordinate action item status updates and completion.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Perform time studies to gather data for production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and operations on implementing lean principles.
• Champion and sustain the CI culture at the plant and CI tools such as leader standard work, gemba walks, process checks, and visual controls.
