Job Description
The Engineering Manager for the Automatic Transfer Switch Product Line will lead the design engineering operations for new product introduction programs, assess, develop, and maintain engineering capability to support best-in-class new product development, cost out through design (VAVE), and sustaining engineering. The role also supports the ATS Engineered to Order (ETO) function and is accountable for defining and systematically maintaining engineering best practices, technologies, and introducing emerging technologies to meet New Product Revenue and Vitality targets, cost out savings targets via redesign (VAVE), and supporting the maintenance of existing products.
Requirements
- Proven technical knowledge in electrical distribution equipment
- Minimum of 5 years of product design engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineering service environment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a direct manager of people
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field from an accredited institution
