Eaton is seeking a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to develop innovative solutions for power conversion products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 6 years work experience in power electronics designs and product development OR Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 4 years work experience in power electronics designs and product development
- Minimum 4 years of experience in power electronics modeling, simulation, and analysis experience using tools like Simulink, SPICE, or PLECS
- Minimum 4 years of experience with power converter hardware development and testing
- MS or Ph.D. in electrical engineering or equivalent with focus on power electronics (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductors, passive components, and analog/digital circuit designs
- Experience with modern converter topologies, including AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC (both non-isolated and isolated)
- Thorough understanding of PCB layout, EMC/EMI design practices, voltage clearance/creepage requirements, and insulation/interconnection techniques
- Experience in power electronics system development, including development of power electronics system architecture and requirements
