Mechanical Design Engineering Manager

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead the Future of Switchboard Engineering at Eaton. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC and will involve spearheading mechanical engineering strategy and execution, leading conceptual design development, overseeing system engineering activities, and championing design quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering work experience
• Minimum 1 year of managing a team
• Effective communication skills (written & verbal) required
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and take initiative to solve problems
• Demonstrated ability for problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirement
• Understanding of UL891, ANSI and NEMA Standards
• Comprehensive knowledge of the application and manufacturing requirements for electrical assemblies
• Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment.
