Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at our Los Angeles, California facility to provide technical support for application development and sustaining production engineering of components and/or systems with emphasis on hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with manufacturing activities of products and components in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace experience
• Hydraulic experience
• Mechanical electrical product experience
• Experience with production assembly and test of products
• Industry 4.0 implementation
• Experience in low volume / high mix product
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement techniques
• Familiarity/experience with continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodology
• Good technical writing and presentation skills
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Proficiency with computer-based methods and tools
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and methods
• Ability to work well with others in the areas of teamwork and communication
• Ability to logically solve problems and to keep projects moving in an orderly and structured fashion
• Working knowledge of ISO-9001 and/or AS9100
