Job Description
Eaton is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical direction and oversight of manufacturing engineering requirements for production equipment, processes, and documentation. The role involves utilizing lean methodologies and statistical analysis to ensure long-term capability and stability of new manufacturing equipment and processes. The engineer will also be responsible for performing design for manufacturing and assembly activities, implementing standardization of equipment and processes, and managing the global manufacturing footprint for a product line.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum five (5) years work experience in a manufacturing environment including assembly operations
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- General knowledge of metal machining/grinding processes and NC machine programming
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) & PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) knowledge
- ProLaunch knowledge (Phased Gate Process)
- Knowledge of test equipment and validation methods
