We're looking for a passionate and driven Controller to join our accounting team. The group is responsible for all accounting, reporting, tax, treasury and shared services functions of a rapidly growing multi-entity, multi-industry business.
Requirements
- Take ownership of the accounting, accounting policy, tax, payroll, treasury, and accounts payable functions.
- Provide clear and concise communication to foster collaboration across departments and within the finance team.
- Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Finance and other finance functions to drive cohesive financial strategies.
- Successfully manage multi-business or global audits from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the process.
- Build a robust controllership foundation from the ground up, supporting and facilitating the expansion of the company.
- Direct the accounting team in effectively utilizing the ERP tool (Sage) for consolidation, cost allocation across entities, department and business line reporting and tax reporting.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of the monthly close package to key management teams
- Collaborate with operational teams to integrate financial practices into daily business activities, including procurement, vendor management, and inventory control.
- Ensure operational and capital expenditures align with budget and assist in cost management initiatives.
- Provide financial forecasts and budgets to support business decision-making for senior leadership
- Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial processes
