Job Description
ECS4Kids (formerly Episcopal Children’s Services) is seeking a dedicated Child Mental Health Specialist to support children’s well-being in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The role focuses on identifying and addressing children’s mental health needs through observation, screenings, and culturally sensitive support. The organization provides comprehensive early childhood education and holistic family support, aiming to empower communities and strengthen key areas of children’s development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required (major in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field)
- Licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or meet eligibility as a registered intern.
- 3+ years of experience serving young children and their families, highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile coverage
- Basic knowledge of childhood development and the effects of trauma
