Requirements

• Assist in implementing a culturally sensitive educational program
• Follow daily lesson plans and use teaching strategies that illustrate the CLASS philosophy
• Individualize for children based on observed needs and goals
• Maintain a developmentally appropriate, stimulating learning environment
• Develop nurturing relationships with each child
• Maintain all federal, state, local and accreditation standards
• Participate in research initiatives
• Conduct daily health checks and follow policies and procedures
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene procedures
• Provide effective communication and relationships with families
• Attend parent meetings and encourage parent involvement
• Maintain transition procedures and coordinate with other staff
• Eat with children and serve food in a way that encourages development and socialization
• Communicate regularly with other staff and follow directions and assignments
• Maintain appropriate record keeping and confidentiality
