Job Description
This role is a Substitute Teacher providing a nurturing environment for children from birth to 5 years old. The ideal candidate will be a caregiver, educator, and relationship builder, implementing developmentally appropriate activities and upholding ECS Discipline Policy. This position is essential when a regular classroom teacher is absent and involves maintaining a safe and stimulating learning space.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- DCF 45-hour training and experience in a child care setting preferred
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to exercise control and maintain appropriate classroom discipline
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff
