Senior Test Technician - Electronics

Role Overview

Element has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Technician - Electronics at our Element Anaheim materials testing laboratory. Reporting to the General Manager, you are an essential member of the team and responsible for overseeing program management including planning, scheduling, and assigning projects and establishing successful relationships with customers.

What You Will Do

Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of tests according to customer specifications and requirements. Provide leadership and direct all activities of the engineering department including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality and business objectives are achieved.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires little supervision and technical input of a Department Manager, Principal Technician, or Engineer. Possesses the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
• At least 5-7 years of work-related experience in the electronics industry
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Experience with printed circuit boards a plus
• Experience with various benchtop electronic equipment, such as meters, power supplies, etc.
• Experience with computer modeling, simulation and circuit analysis is desirable.
• Familiarity with software programs such as LabVIEW, Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
• Previous experience leading and managing projects
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to review performance, identify problems and implement solutions
• An understanding of ISO 17025 is desirable but not essential
• Ability to effectively collaborate and lead cross-functional teams that achieve requirements/goals
