R&D Scientist

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is seeking a curious, technically capable R&D Scientist to contribute to the development and improvement of chemical products and technologies across our global portfolio. The role is ideal for a scientist who enjoys hands-on experimentation, rigorous data analysis, and working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to translate scientific ideas into practical, commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Practical laboratory experience in chemical synthesis, formulation, or analytical testing.
• Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Understanding of development workflows from concept through validation or scale-up (desirable).
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and safe handling of chemicals.
• Ability to work in compliance with quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory expectations.
• Strong commitment to data integrity and documentation standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines.
