We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team at Elia, a leading player in the energy landscape. As part of the Elia group, a European transmission system operator, Elia Belgium ensures the reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in our country.
Requirements
- Managing and coordinating the operational activities of the warehouse.
- Leading the planning and database manager, their assistant, and the coordinator/coordinator of external warehouse employees (service providers).
- Organizing, managing, and optimizing the warehouses (central and satellite warehouses) of spare parts and consumables, so that the necessary materials are delivered to internal customers (during or outside office hours) at the lowest possible cost.
- Developing and optimizing logistics processes.
- Developing and implementing process improvements.
- Working closely with the purchasing department to develop and implement transport contracts and to execute these contracts on a daily basis.
- Leading the logistics team and coaching them in their technical knowledge.
- Being the key partner for the business and discussing the main processes (strategic documents, departure from and return to the warehouse...).
- Working closely with Asset Management to manage the possible deterioration.
- Being responsible for the warehouse budget and the associated reporting.
- Being the driving force behind continuous improvement, in order to realize the strategic objectives of Elia.
- Providing follow-up via KPI's and reporting.
- Having extensive knowledge of the management tools of the warehouse.
- Keeping them up-to-date and ensuring that they are used correctly by the warehouse teams and the business.
