Job Description
Emburse is seeking a Staff Engineer (Principal Engineer) to lead technical decision-making and guide the architecture of enterprise-scale SaaS applications. The role involves hands-on coding, mentorship, and influencing system-wide architecture within a hybrid model operating in downtown Toronto. The position requires a blend of architectural leadership and coding expertise.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Java (core Java, Java 8/11/17)
- Strong cloud platform experience (minimum 3 years in AWS)
- Proven success building and scaling web technologies / SaaS products
- Proficiency with SQL and relational database design
- Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, distributed systems
- Familiarity with DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, Agile development
