Emergent Method is seeking a dynamic graphic designer to support all aspects of creative design, strategy, and production for the firm's wide range of clients and internal needs. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in visual and graphic design and is eager to learn from our innovative team of creative professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, art, visual communication, or a related field
- Up to five years of experience, with a strong portfolio of work that clearly demonstrates expertise in design disciplines including, but not limited to, print, social and digital media, web design, and branding
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.); knowledge of Figma preferred but not required
- Enthusiastic about advancing technical and soft skills and learning new design trends, technologies, and techniques
- Ability to take and give direction, communicate ideas effectively, and tell compelling stories through design and visual communication
- Exceptional eye for quality and attention to detail
- Ability to remain organized and meet deadlines while multitasking and juggling competing priorities, as well as working with multiple team members/clients simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot quickly based on rapidly changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and conflict resolution skills
- Experience designing for content platforms (e.g., WordPress, Mailchimp), motion graphics, video, and/or photo editing is a plus
