Job Description
We are seeking a Sourcing Engineer to support new product development and sourced materials strategies. The role will involve leading sourcing activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects, managing sourcing projects with global suppliers, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Requirements
- Lead sourcing activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects
- Create effective Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Support supplier selection recommendations
- Owning costed Bills of Materials
- Support Product Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Identifying and mitigating supply and cost risks
- Manage sourcing projects with Pro Tools' global supply base
- Cost modeling and analysis
- Make/buy evaluations
- Capital expenditure considerations
- Communicate supply chain status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to project stakeholders
- Lead supplier decision reviews with executive leadership
- Partner with suppliers to optimize Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Collaborate with an electrical sourcing engineering partner
- Support component sourcing and substitutions
- Align mechanical and electronic supply chains for integrated subassemblies and box builds
