Welders are responsible for using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding to fabricate products from blueprints with careful attention to detail to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
- Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds
- Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures
- Operate hand grinders as needed
- Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product
