Job Description
Biomedical Equipment Engineer II performs preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, documentations, and interacting with customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in Electronics or equivalent experience and BMET Certification, and 2 years of experience in medical equipment repair.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or completion of DoD Biomedical Equipment Repair School or equivalent experience and BMET Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
- Valid driver's license in good standing and reliable vehicle
- Excellent internal and external customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use collaborative problem-solving methods and exercises some independent judgment
- Advanced knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of the application of software and how it interfaces with equipment
- Knowledge of current regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of biomedical equipment
- Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking
- Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic equipment
