Engineer, Controls

The Controls Engineer role is to develop Automation solutions and provide support for Enerflex's engineering groups, from initial design to implementation of our package solutions and plant facilities for oil and gas industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Software Engineering discipline, Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years experience in design of various control systems with Allen Bradley hardware; other brands is an Asset.
• 5 to 10 years experience in PLC/HMI programming on Allen Bradley, RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio Other PLC/HMI brands also an asset.
• DeltaV Programming Experience an Asset
• Knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, VFD's, electrical switchgear and motors.
• Knowledge in CSA code for hazardous location is required.
• Knowledge in IEC and NEC code is an asset.
• Knowledge in the use of Computer-Aided Engineering Software is an asset.
• Good analytical, engineering problem solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office application software.
