Job Description
The Engineering Intern will support ENGIE's Central Capex and Major Partnerships Team, working on technical engineering measures for The University of Iowa's District Energy System. The internship will run from June 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at University of Iowa
- Minimum of two (2) years of completed course work within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree program required
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), preferably AutoCAD software
- Experience with reviewing technical engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Proficient with engineering economics and cost estimating
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and instrumentation
- Familiarity with PID concepts, feedback loops, and simple system behavior
- Ability to create or modify basic ladder logic and perform simple troubleshooting
