Senior Patient Access Specialist

The company is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience by accurately managing patient registration and access processes within the healthcare revenue cycle.

Requirements

• Accurately manage patient registration and access processes
• Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience
• Directly influence revenue cycle KPIs such as registration accuracy, point-of-service collections, and first-pass claim rates
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls
• Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires to the department
• Provide continuing education to associates in all areas of the revenue cycle
• Collect point of service payments
• Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurate, timely to meet audit standards
• Provide statistical data to Patient Access Leadership
• Obtain necessary signatures and witness's name for consent forms
• Distribute patient education documents
• Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and select the applicable insurance plan code
• Enter benefit data into system to support POS (Point of Service Collections) and billing processes
• Screen medical necessity using the Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) software
• Distribute and document designated forms and pamphlets
