Job Description
This position is for an experienced Structural Steel CAD Detailer to join a company specializing in railroad, transportation, and large fabrication works. The detailer will be responsible for detailing steel structures, including bridges, canopies, and signal structures, from initial concept drawings through to the shop for fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in metal fabrication, blueprints reading, and AutoCAD software.
Requirements
- Prepare drawings for fabrication using AutoCAD and/or other design software
- Manage jobs from original concept drawings through release to the shop for fabrication
- Read and edit blueprints and AutoCAD drawings
- Experience in the Metal Fabrication industry as a Structural Detailer
- Ability to read blueprints and AutoCAD drawings
- Experience using either AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Tekla
- Experience working in a team environment and independently
- Self-motivated and an excellent work ethic
- Experience working with Bill of Materials
- Strong Math and Communication skills
- Basic Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office)
