Job Description
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist 15 provides support, mentorship, and hope to individuals navigating substance use, mental health, or co-occurring challenges. The role builds authentic, trust-based relationships with clients, assists them in developing recovery plans, connects them to community resources, and promotes wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must possess a valid Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential
- Must have personal lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges
- Minimum 1 year of sustained recovery strongly preferred
