Job Description
The Assistant Supervisor Nights provides support to the shift supervisor, ensures the team meets shift production goals, and backs up the team leader. The role involves working with all team members, training new hires, and following up on daily shift testing.
Requirements
- Work with all team members in day-to-day operations
- Fill in areas when personnel are absent if staffing is not available
- Train new hires when needed
- Back up team leader on all fronts of Pellet Mill/ Hammermill operation
- Follow up on daily shift testing to make sure within spec and if not communicate to the team leader
- Own the 5s procedure with all that applies
- Multitask by balancing multiple items throughout the process
- Perform/coordinate housekeeping daily/weekly for shift swaps to maintain to required standard
- Walk with Safety manager during housekeeping audit monthly
- Escalate issues promptly for proper resolution
