The Senior Skilled Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of the buildings, equipment, and grounds of all the Episcopal Seniorlife Communities.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledgeable in general building systems and operations, including boilers, generators, and compressors.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical materials.
- Must be knowledgeable in various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Knowledgeable in NYS DOH long-term care and housing regulations, building codes, OSHA regulations, and state sanitary codes.
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to represent the interests of ESLC and interact effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the public.
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Minimum of ten years’ trade experience (electrical, plumbing, boiler/ HVAC) in health care and housing, OR any combination of education and experience.
