Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic

We're hiring a Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic at our rental facility in Richmond, VA (Colonial Heights). As a Field Technician, you'll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. You'll also practice safe job practices for repairing equipment and use technology comfortably. You'll work on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools, with opportunities for year-round company-provided OEM training. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires passing a 10-panel drug screen and background check.

Requirements

• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Field Mechanic: When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
