Experienced Design Engineer / Fire Protection Engineer

ERG is seeking fire protection engineers with experience designing fire protection systems and analyzing existing or planned systems for high-hazard areas. The position is located at a federal site in Indian Head, Maryland, and will involve working closely with program/construction management teams throughout the full lifecycle of projects. Responsibilities include technical review of design packages, occasional design work, and ensuring compliance with federal and local requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum of 8 years experience is required, 10+ years is preferred
• At least 4 years of relevant experience and a degree in fire protection engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant experience and a degree in another engineering discipline
• Must have a PE license or be actively pursuing licensure
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen
• Demonstrated experience with NFPA 1, NFPA 101, NFPA 13, NFPA 15, NFPA 30, and NFPA 72
