Safety Advisor Generation & Trading

The Safety Advisor plays a vital role in enabling ESB's mission to deliver a brighter, more sustainable future for customers and communities, ensuring safe operation of the Generation & Trading fleet. The role involves providing expert safety guidance to operational sites and project teams, ensuring legislative compliance, safety assurance during outages, and the practical application of safety requirements in a complex industrial environment.

Requirements

• Provide direct on-site safety management to ensure compliance to safety legislation, safety standards and safety guidelines for generation wide outages/projects.
• Proactively promotes Safe and Sound’ safety culture for generation wide outages/projects.
• Safety auditing during outages/projects to ensure compliance with legislation and relevant standards.
• Support non-outage portfolio risk auditing.
• Development of all outage/project safety related plans, documents, registers as necessary for safety compliance
• Take leading role in outage/project safety related meetings, stand downs and forums
• Support procurement process by providing expert safety input and managing safety related contracts and suppliers.
• Support process to ensure compliance with Subco Director safety responsibilities
