Job Description

The Generation Engineering Safety Specialist Lead will work with Generation Projects teams to ensure compliance with safety legislation and ESB requirements. The successful candidate will have a track record of undertaking the PSDP and PD roles on large infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Provide health and safety direction and support to EMP Generation Engineering and Generation Projects multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and monitor health and safety strategy in liaison with the Safety, Health and Environment team
- Monitor, review, and improve the PSDP and PD roles across GE and GP
- Identify and develop in-house training on Safety in Design and the PSDP/PD role
- Work closely with GE design teams and/or external designers to ensure safety design coordination
- Carrying out contractor competency evaluations and advising on any recommendations
- Leading and promoting a health and safety culture among staff and on sites
- Expert in the role as a point of contact for staff on any safety-related issues
