Job Description
The Director, Pharmacy role is a pivotal position that requires deep practical and technical expertise in healthcare, combined with strong project management and execution skills. The role involves leading high-performing teams, fostering excellence, and mentoring team members in both technical capabilities and soft skills. The Director will lead business development conversations, execute project goals, and deliver tangible financial results to clients.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Healthcare related field or Finance
- 8-10 years Medicaid/Medicare/Exchange (or "government funded") and Commercial managed care pharmacy experience within health systems, health plans, and PBMs
- Previous healthcare consulting experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives in managed care pharmacy
- Demonstrated expertise in managed care pharmacy including PBM contracting, formulary strategy, rebate contracting, utilization management, clinical programs, analytics and reporting, and regulatory compliance
