Head of Accounting - Nordics

We are looking for a Head of Accounting - Nordics to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our statutory financial reporting.

Requirements

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate month‐end and year‐end closings
• Manage VAT declarations, including Intrastat reporting, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
• Liaise with external tax consultants, supporting the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports
• Own and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate postings
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and in‐depth account analysis
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring high data quality
• Actively support internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, group policies, and accounting standards
• Contribute to the development, documentation, and enhancement of internal controls
• Produce internal reporting aligned with Group procedures and timelines
• Manage a team of two accountants across the region
• Drive service quality with the Shared Services Center located in Italy
• Review and validate journal entries and reconciliations
• Support the evolution of accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
