The Operations Manager reports directly to the management of a small to large size transportation terminal and is responsible for overseeing a diverse range of LTL operations across multiple shifts while maintaining strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and customer service focus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL terminal
- Good computer skills (AS/400 & MS Office a plus)
- Strong leadership skills
- Customer Service focus
- Some travel required
- Possess excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Knowledge of hazardous materials
- Ability to work independently, or in a team setting
- Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and a criminal history background check
