Trailer Mechanic Level C

Estes is hiring a Trailer Mechanic Level C to perform repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers, inspect equipment, and prepare safety documents. The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience or completion of trade school, and a valid CDL and acceptable MVR. The job involves working with heavy equipment, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED)
• Minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment
• Must have own tools
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria
• Must possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
• Possess mechanical ability and interest of electronics and precision equipment
• Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions
• Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Self-starting and organized
• Strong work ethic and good problem solving skills
• Willing to work any shift, including nights and weekends in any weather condition; flexible work schedule
• Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
• Interact well with others
• Work independently, or in a team setting
• Work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
