Surgery Veterinary Assistant

Join Our Surgery Team at East End Veterinary Center (EEVC)! As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our surgical team and ensuring each patient receives the highest level of care.

Requirements

• Cleaning and sterilizing all surgical equipment and instrument packs (gas sterilization certification provided)
• Running CT scans from start to finish with comprehensive training
• Obtaining orthopedic and standard radiographs
• Safely restraining patients for exams and anesthetic procedures
• Setting up and breaking down the surgery department for daily procedures
• Communicating clearly and effectively with all members of the team
• Maintaining flexibility to support a rotating schedule
• Taking and recording patient vitals accurately
• Assisting the Surgery Liaison with starting appointments and collecting thorough patient histories
