Surgery Veterinary Technician

Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their Surgery team. The role involves assisting with surgical procedures, patient preparation, and nursing care, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a veterinary setting (preferred)
• Active veterinary technician license required for LVTs, with proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, drug calculations, and surgical support
• Working knowledge of patient care, restraint, and basic procedures
• Ability to work around anesthetic gases, chemicals, and zoonotic diseases
• Flexibility to support occasional schedule adjustments
