Job Description
The Seasonal Line Cook prepares meals and follows established recipes, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure food safety and quality. This full-time summer position requires experience and attention to detail, with a focus on teamwork and communication.
Requirements
- Food Preparation: Prepare large quantities of food based on standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
- Menu Execution: Follow menu plans established by management or the executive chef, and adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, or special requests.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is safe and cooked properly, and perform regular taste tests to guarantee flavor consistency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including prep cooks, line cooks, and kitchen assistants, and assist in the training of new kitchen staff on volume cooking techniques and safety procedures.
