Job Description
The European Patent Office (EPO) is seeking a European Patent Examiner in Steel Metallurgy. The role involves examining patent applications, conducting in-depth research, and communicating findings with applicants. The successful candidate will have a solid background in steel metallurgy and heat treatments of ferrous metals or alloys, excellent language skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- Diploma of completed studies at master's level covering one or more technical fields
- Excellent knowledge of one of the EPO's official languages (English, French, or German)
- Work experience in industry is an advantage
- Citizenship of one of the member states of the European Patent Organisation
