MDS Coordinator/Quality and Infection Preventionist, RN

The MDS Coordinator/Quality and Infection Preventionist is responsible for overseeing quality and infection prevention programs, including employee health and risk management activities, at Eventide Williamsburg in Williamsburg, NE. This position requires a registered nurse with experience in long-term care and minimum data set coordination.

Requirements

• Implements quality activities and programs to enhance resident services
• Collects and analyzes data to measure success and influence quality improvement
• Develops reports and recommendations for process improvement to enhance resident care and services
• Manages infection control function for the entire facility
• Provides formal and informal Infection Prevention education to support the delivery of excellent care to residents and staff
• Performs infection surveillance and collects data on residents with infections
• Coordinates and administers the immunization program for all new and existing employees
• Coordinates and completes the entire MDS process
• Assesses residents' health status needs through physical assessments, observation, and interview
• Provides and monitors accurate documentation in the resident record
• Completes, monitors, and evaluates residents' plans of care
