Senior Laboratory Chemist - Mining & Minerals

We are seeking a Senior Chemist to lead our Ore Processing Technical team at Northparkes. The successful candidate will have a background in commercial or mineral processing laboratories and strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a commitment to high quality laboratory practices. The role involves leadership of the laboratory team, management of lab routine and project work, and ensuring safety standards are upheld.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry (or equivalent)
• Solid laboratory experience, ideally 5+ years in commercial or processing environments
• Proven people leadership and team-building capability
• Understanding of QAQC and good laboratory practices (GLP)
• Experience with LIMS and standard digital tools (MS Office)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
• A proactive, values-driven approach and commitment to safety
