School Nurse

Excel Academy is seeking a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. The School Nurse will support the development, implementation, and management of the school's health program, including activities related to COVID-19 preparedness and response. The role will involve program management, nursing services, collaboration, health education, and professional practice.

Requirements

• Must hold a BSN or RN with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Minimum of 1 year experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing, or pediatric nursing; school nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with insulin administration and/or Hoyer lift preferred, or a willingness to learn
• Willingness to work in-person with students, as needed
• An ability to speak Spanish preferred, but not necessary
• A commitment to working with underserved, urban youth
