Job Description
Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for its Industrial Control & Utilities division. This role involves managing and executing assigned projects, delivering engineered industrial control and automation solutions for clients supporting manufacturing processes or utility services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, DeltaV, VFDs, and power distribution.
Requirements
- Creates project documents to meet Client expectations.
- Creates PLC programs and HMI applications from requirements or specifications.
- Performs system validation.
- Works with clients to develop project scope and estimate.
- Design electrical schematic packages.
- Perform sizing calculations for power, heat dissipation, and wire sizing.
- Design control system network layout and traffic analysis.
- Directs team and reports progress.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
