Job Description
Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for their Industrial Control & Utilities division in Mounds View, MN. This role involves managing and executing engineering projects, delivering industrial control & automation solutions to clients, and collaborating with other teams. The company emphasizes customer focus and maintaining a high standard of excellence.
Requirements
- Creates project documents according to internal processes.
- Designs PLC programs and HMI applications from User Requirements or Functional Specifications.
- Performs system validation according to scope documentation.
- Works with clients to develop project scope and estimate.
- Directs team in the field and assigns priorities.
- Designs electrical schematic packages.
- Performs required sizing calculations.
- Leads large projects.
- Leads small projects.
- Configures VFD and Servo drives.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
