Job Description
Excelsior Wellness Center is looking for a Peer Support Specialist to join their treatment team and serve the community with passion for behavioral health. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience working with youth, and personal lived experience receiving behavioral health services.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working and/or volunteering directly with youth
- Certified Peer Counselor in Washington State or enrolled in a Peer Support Training program
- Personal lived experience receiving behavioral health services as a youth or caregiver
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make ethical and safe decisions
- Previous experience facilitating groups or activities with youth
- Knowledge of recreational therapy, trauma-informed care, or youth mental health EBPs
