Experian is a global data and technology company seeking an AWS DevOps Lead Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing scalable AWS infrastructure, building reusable platform components, and implementing multi-account, multi-region architectures. Additionally, the engineer will design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, enable progressive delivery strategies, and integrate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks. The role also involves containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, observability and AIOps, security and DevSecOps, and AI-enabled DevOps.
Requirements
- Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Build reusable platform components and golden paths for engineering teams
- Implement multi-account, multi-region architectures with strong governance
- Design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Enable progressive delivery strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags)
- Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks into pipelines
- Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD/Flux
- Optimize cluster performance, cost, and reliability
- Implement full-stack observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- Build AI-assisted monitoring and alerting systems for anomaly detection and root cause analysis
- Enable self-healing systems using automation and event-driven responses
- Embed security into pipelines using SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode, Trivy
- Implement IAM best practices, secrets management, and zero-trust principles
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards
- Leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot) for automation, script generation, and pipeline optimization
- Build agent-driven operational workflows (auto-remediation, incident summarization, runbook generation)
- Use AWS Bedrock / AI services for intelligent automation and operational insights
- Implement FinOps practices for cost visibility and optimization
- Define and monitor SLOs/SLIs and error budgets
- Drive reliability engineering practices across platforms
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience (DevEx)
- Enable teams through self-service platforms and automation
- Contribute to platform engineering standards and best practices
